I’m writing this from the Miami Centurion Lounge. It’s actually been a great place to spend a four hour layover on my way from Denver to Colombia. If you’ve ever been curious about an upscale airport lounge experience, read on!
Centurion Lounges are owned by American Express, and access is complimentary for global AmEx Platinum Card®, Delta Skymiles® Reserve Card, and Centurion® Members. Delta Skymiles® Reserve Card Members have access to Centurion Lounges located in the United States, Hong Kong, and London only.
The Miami Centurion Lounge opens at 7 am and there was a que waiting to get in. Once inside the lounge I easily found a seat and helped myself to some strong coffee, fresh juices, and a buffet hot breakfast. There was also a continental breakfast. Servers are constantly walking around the lounge to pick up dirty dishes and offering drinks. There is a wine bar and a full bar – 8 am is a little early for me, but plenty of guests are enjoying a mimosa before they board their next flight.
It’s perfect for a business traveler to comfortably get some work done. Families can use the Family Room and let their kids get some energy out behind a closed door. There are also Phone Rooms to get some business done privately. The bathrooms are large and come with L’Occitane products. And finally there is a small spa for a quick massage.
Utilizing the Centurion Lounge has definitely been great so far. I hope I have plenty more trips to really make it worthwhile!
