As many of you know, I had the opportunity to visit Uganda this past August. If you followed my trip on social media you know that I loved every minute of it. It was such an incredible experience that I’m not exaggerating when I say it was LIFE CHANGING! And now, I want to share it with others.

We have been working with our Uganda specialist, Hornbill Treks and Safaris, for a few years and we receive such great feedback from our clients that we have chosen them to partner with for a private small group trip, escorted by me.  I’m so excited to share this amazing country with you.

Giving Back to the Community

We always look for ways to provide more support for locals, so for this trip we are partnering with Awegys Secondary School which was started by the mother of Hornbill co-founder Andrew Wegoye.  We are donating one bicycle for every client that joins us on the trip. Our program is called Spokes & Smiles. Not only will this enable dozens of children to more easily get to school every day but it will help the families transport goods as needed. We also partner with Pack for a Purpose and our clients are always welcome to bring much needed basic necessities to this village in Uganda. Tourism is a major source of income for Uganda so each traveler contributes so much to the betterment of this country.

Between the guides, local porters, lodge staff, students at the school, and their families supported by other community initiatives the number of families positively impacted by our visit is in the hundreds.
