Day 1: In the Pearl of Africa

Welcome to Uganda! Begin your 13 day adventurous tour of East Africa in Entebbe, Uganda. You will arrive at your hotel and enjoy the evening resting after a long day of travel.

Day 2: Bwindi

On day 2 of your adventure you will fly to Bwindi, where you will arrive at your lodge. You’ll have time to relax and enjoy the amenities your lodge has to offer, such as traditional cooking classes or an inspiring waterfall walk.

Overlooking the primeval Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and with stunning views of the forest canopy across a serene stream, Bwindi Lodge is one of Africa’s unique lodges.

The property has dramatic views of the impenetrable forests and is a great place to spot the monkeys and birds hidden in the foliage. Since 2021, two new deluxe bandas have opened, all standard bandas have been rebuilt and upgraded, and a new spa and sauna has been added and the lounge and library have been reimagined.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast you will head to the most awe-inspiring hike of your life as you trek through the Bwindi National Park and search to see the noble mountain gorillas of Uganda.

This trek will begin with where the gorillas were spotted the day before and can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 8 hours depending on how well hidden the gorillas are that day. Once you encounter the gorillas you will have the opportunity to spend one unforgettable hour with these magnificent creatures.

Tonight will be your second night to enjoy the amenities of the Bwindi Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara

You will travel by plane from Bwindi to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, where you will be met directly on the air strip and brought to your lodge where you will have time to relax and settle in.

Later in the day you will set out on an exhilarating evening game drive.

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve

While exploring all the Maasai Mara National Reserve has to offer you may also choose to have a once in a lifetime experience, an early morning hot air balloon ride over the Mara Plains.

You will watch as the sun begins to rise over the horizon and the animals all wake and the Plains become bursting with wildlife and the excitement of a new day.

Your experience will end with a delicious bush breakfast that will be waiting for you in the wilderness and a glass of bubbly to toast your trip.

Tonight will be your third night to enjoy the amazing views and local dishes from your Safari plains camp.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

In the morning, you will travel from Maasai Mara to the Serengeti National Park via plane and car.

Depending on the season you choose to travel, your travel guide will help you choose which part or combination of sections of the Serengeti Park (North, Central, or Southern) will be best for your stay.

After arriving at your destination, relax before setting out on an evening game drive through the incredible Serengeti National Park.

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater

In the morning you will transfer from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro. You will have the option to stay along the rim of the crater or in the highlands.

Your onward trip from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro will include the opportunity to view more wildlife.

Day 13: Depart East Africa

You can also extend your stay in Africa with a transfer to Zanzibar, exploring Stone Town, and relaxing along the shores of the Indian Ocean.
